The Crime Scene Investigation PCR Kit allows students to simulate DNA profiling as commonly used in forensic laboratories. Students analyze provided DNA samples from a crime scene and hypothetical suspects to learn how DNA profiling determines a genotype ("barcode") to distinguish one person from another. This kit is designed to introduce the concepts of PCR, a technique widely used in laboratories.

The kit consists of:
- 250 µl DNA sample from the crime scene
- 250 µl DNA sample from 4 suspects A, B, C, D
- 1.2 ml PCR master mix (Taq DNA polymerase, dNTPs, buffer)
- 25 µl Primers (blue)
- 200 µl Allele ladder
- 1 ml Orange G loading dye
- 50 PCR tubes 0.2 ml
- 50 PCR tube adapters without cap 1.5 ml
- 60 Colored 2.0 ml test microtubes
