Collimators

The collimator is an optical device used to produce a parallel beam of light. It consists of a target (or reticle) placed in the focal plane of a lens. The image formed is then “at infinity,” which makes the emerging rays parallel. This instrument is often used to calibrate, align, or adjust other optical systems (such as a telescope sight) by providing them with a reference image.

Here are the three types of Collimators offered by Jeulin:

 

> Collimator with reticle – adjustable draw tube            > Collimator with reticle – rack and pinion adjustment                    > Collimator with reticle – pre-set to infinity
