Brewster's angle

Brewster's angle is a specific angle of incidence at which light reflected from a surface becomes completely polarized perpendicular to the plane of incidence. Determining Brewster's angle is particularly useful for estimating the refractive indices of materials.

Brewster's angle is a fundamental optical property used to control light polarization. By carefully selecting the angle of incidence, light can be efficiently polarized, leading to various practical applications, such as polarized sunglasses, which reduce glare caused by light reflection on surfaces like water or roads.
