Sauvage x Vestigial Ebony - F2 Back cross (24 drosophiles)

Interchromosomal recombination Chr II and Chr III.
Studied mutations: vestigial wings and ebony body.

Inclusion of 24 fruit flies in a box (ø 55 mm) with a removable lid, corresponding to the expected theoretical frequencies of a F2 back cross population (F1 x Mutant Parents).

The counting is done by marking each of the identified flies on the lid with an erasable marker. Grid and orderly positioning of the flies to facilitate identification.

6 wild type flies normal wings x light body (25%).
6 vestigial wings flies x light body (25%).
6 wild type flies normal wings x ebony body (25%).
6 vestigial wings flies x ebony body (25%).
