Chromosomes or chromatids are represented by magnetic rods of different colors and sizes.
Use for modeling cell divisions:
The cell wall is represented by a flexible band allowing to simulate the division of the cytoplasm.
It is magnetized to facilitate the "closing" of cells.
Use for modeling the lottery of heredity:
The rods are covered with a rewritable varnish using dry erase markers and can be personalized, for example for marking genes, alleles (e.g. A, O, B, AB, Rh+, Rh-...).
They are moved on the support carrying a symbolic representation of the parents, gametes, and an egg.
1 model including: - 1 A4 metal plate with figurines - 1 magnetic cellular border (in 2 parts) - 13 long "chromosomes" (7 red and 6 blue) - 12 short "chromosomes" (6 red and 6 blue) - 3 "X chromosomes" (1 blue and 2 red with 1 marked) - 2 "Y chromosomes" (1 marked)
