Initio® SA Seismometer
The Initio® SA Seismometer allows visualizing the impact of a shock, a rupture through a series of LEDs. The greater the 'earthquake', the greater the number of LEDs that light up.
It allows a simple and immediate visualization of the signal measured by the sensor.
You have a memory function for a relative quantification of the wave or a non-recording function to visualize the wave in real-time.
The analog output allows transferring the signal to an ExAO interface
This unique, versatile device allows visualizing, measuring, and finally processing the data if desired.
An adjustment function allows homogenizing the response levels delivered by different sensors.
Thus, you can combine the devices to highlight the signal's shape, study speed differences on different materials (wood, granite, concrete..), calculate a conduction speed, determine an epicenter using 3 seismometers.
Thanks to the sensor's ease of use, it can be attached to different types of materials and thus consider different hypotheses on the propagation of seismic waves in a real investigative approach.
Furthermore, its sensitivity ensures successful manipulations every time.
Dropping a pencil from a height of 10 cm is enough to obtain a correct visualization of the signal.
The Initio® seismometer can be cleverly associated with the earthquake model ref. 507 036, to address, in a concrete way, all the notions associated with an earthquake.
