Experiment Diffraction by a slit or a wire
-10%
The 202770 set makes it possible to study the phenomenon of diffraction by a slit or a wire and thus verify Babinet's theorem.
Subjects discussed :
- Diffraction by a slit or wire
- Babinet's theorem
- Fraunhofer figures
- Young's slots and holes
- Multiple slots
Principles and objectives:
The phenomenon of diffraction occurs when a light wave encounters a small obstacle during its propagation (of the order of magnitude of the wavelength of the incident wave). We can then observe behind these obstacles diffraction patterns whose characteristics depend on the shape and size of the obstacle.
