Yeast Transgenesis Kit - College

Students perform an inter-species gene transfer illustrating the unity of living organisms. The gene encoding the fluorescent protein from the bioluminescent tissues of the jellyfish will be expressed by the yeast S. cerevisiae. The result is remarkable after 3-4 days of culture, the transformed yeast cells become fluorescent under UV light. Yeast is the only medium for biotechnology experiments with recognized safety.
