The Brix degree measures the concentration (%) of a compound in a solution: the ratio between the mass of dissolved solids (in grams) in 100 g of the tested solution.

The KERN ORA-B series models are universal manual and analog refractometers that require no maintenance.
Their design has been specifically created to make them robust, practical, and durable tools. You can easily avoid human errors thanks to a multiple choice graduation scale.

Due to their design, these scales are calculated and controlled with very high precision, easily distinguishable by fine lines. Furthermore, the optical system and prism cover allow for low-tolerance measurements. Each eyepiece has an intuitive and smooth adjustment for different visions.

This model is particularly suitable for measuring the BRIX value. Mainly used to determine the fruit content of foods, fruits, vegetables, juices... especially for quality control in industrial processes (monitoring of refrigerants, oils, and fats).
