Operation
CO2 laser cutting is a gas laser whose tube, water-cooled, is made up of an electrically excited carbon dioxide gas mixture.
During cutting or engraving, it is important to constantly cool the laser tube (A basic solution is provided in all our machines; however, we recommend the use of a regulated water cooler) and to evacuate all fumes. (Either through an external duct if the establishment is equipped, or through a standalone extractor equipped with filters)

Usage and materials
Of high quality with precision, CO2 laser cutting is suitable for cutting or engraving many materials and most non-chlorinated plastics.

- Cutting / engraving:
Wood, wood veneer, cardboard, PE foam, ABS, acrylic, paper, textiles, leather, PMMA,...
- Engraving only:
Glass, stone, metal (with the addition of ceramic spray)

NEVER cut or engrave a material containing PVC or vinyl; a corrosive agent (Chlorine) will destroy your machine. If in doubt, you should consult the COSHH / health and safety data sheet for the product being processed and, if necessary, contact the manufacturer or supplier for additional advice.
The use of materials not recommended by polytech is at your own risk and will void the warranty.
