Monohybridism.
Mutations studied: WHITE (eye color)
Presented in a Petri dish, in a perfectly transparent resin, the fruit flies are easily observable under a magnifying glass and maintain the realistic "lab-like" character of fruit fly counts.
Parents and F1a are available in individual boxes of 40 individuals sorted and counted. The proportions of flies in each box correspond to the expected theoretical frequencies.
Parents box = 20 fruit flies of each parent P1 (wild females / red eyes) and P2 (white males / white eyes).
F1a box = cross P1 x P2 = 20 wild females + 20 wild males (red eyes)
Objectives:
Observe the sorted fruit flies under a binocular microscope, develop models, study chromosome segregation, gene distribution. Based on these results, define the type of hereditary law to which the studied strain responds.
