Pipette

A pipette is a tool used to transfer a precise volume of liquid from one container to another. There are several types of pipettes: volumetric, graduated, Pasteur, serological, and dropper.

A volumetric pipette has a fixed volume capacity. It allows for precise volume transfer and may have one or two graduation marks. If there is no second mark, simply fill the pipette to its calibration line. For optimal use, a pipette bulb is essential.

On the other hand, the graduated pipette has markings to measure the desired volume. The graduated pipette is therefore more precise than the volumetric pipette.

The choice between the two really depends on your laboratory needs. That’s why, to suit all applications, our volumetric and graduated pipettes are available in various materials, precision classes, and capacities. The quality of the material (glass or plastic) and the precision class (Class A, B, and AB) are essential elements in choosing your pipette. Certain features, such as readability and the type of graduation, can also simplify the use and extend the longevity of your equipment.
