Kit RuBisCO genes RbcL RbcS (DNA electrophoresis)

This kit contains PCR amplification products, comparable to those obtained with the Chloroplast Gene Transfer PCR Kit (ref 117149).

RbcL and RbcS are 2 subunits of the RuBisCO enzyme, the key enzyme of photosynthesis. Electrophoresis will reveal which gene is carried by the cellular genome and which subunit is transcribed from the chloroplastic genome. This scientific fact supports the hypothesis that the presence of chloroplasts in plant cells results from an ancestral endosymbiosis.

The DNA solutions are calibrated and do not require any preparation.
