Plate Tectonics Historical Pack

With this ingenious pack, a minimum of 5 sessions of observations, analyses, and data organization can be ensured to move from the continental drift to plate tectonics. Students will successively put themselves in the place of Wegener, Jeffreys, Vine, and Matthews, and actively reconstruct the history of the young plate tectonics model. At each stage of the construction, students are led to: - analyze the arguments put forward by the different scientists that determine the accepted model at each time - conduct research to determine new facts brought by different fields that challenge the model - search for new scientific facts implied by the theory to test its predictive value
