Tectonic model of compression

Your students will be able to reproduce the compression phenomenon and, depending on the nature of the materials and the intensity of the compacting force, visualize faults, reverse faults, or folds.
A transparent tank separated by a wall moved by a piston allows students to reproduce the main deformations and consequences related to tectonic movements on layers of materials (sands, plasters...) arranged in superimposed layers.
The use of plaster allows the preservation of the constructed models. A tamper allows the material to be compacted.
