Hydrometers

A hydrometer, is an essential density measurement tool used to determine the specific gravity of liquids. It operates on the buoyancy principle, comparing a liquid’s mass per unit volume to that of distilled water, which has a reference value of 1. Liquids with a lower fluid density than water will have a value below 1, while denser liquids will be above 1.

Hydrometers are widely used in petroleum industry, chemical analysis, pharmaceutical production, and food processing. These instruments ensure precise concentration measurement for quality control and regulatory compliance. Another common use is measuring the alcohol content in a mixture.
