The HP550-S hotplate has a very large ceramic heating plate for high chemical resistance and efficient heat transfer. The maximum temperature of the plate is 550 °C and it can be regulated by an external temperature sensor (PT1000 probe ref. 701 605 provided). The hotplate can be used safely thanks to its safety control against overheating and its hot plate safety indicator light.
