The sample to be tested is placed in a capillary tube and inserted directly into the heating block. The temperature rises rapidly (20 °C/min) or more slowly (manual setting between 1 and 10 °C/min) until the melting temperature is reached. The samples are illuminated by an LED and viewed with the help of an easy-to-clean magnifying lens.
Comes with an instruction manual, a thermometer, and a set of 100 capillary tubes.
