Monohybridism.
Mutations studied: vestigial wings.
Presentation:
The drosophila specimens mounted on slides, arranged in an elegant storage box, include:
- 1 slide Parents: P1 wild type homozygote (normal wings), P2 mutated homozygote (vestigial wings).
- 1 slide F1 (P1 x P2):
100% wild type phenotype.
- 6 slides F2 direct (F1 x F1): 75% normal wings, 25% vestigial wings.
Reflection on the notions of homozygote and heterozygote.

Caractéristiques techniques
Mutation studied : Vestigial wings.
1 Parents slide: Wild homozygotes P1, mutated homozygotes P2.
1 F1 blade (P1 x P2): Long wings phenotype (wild) hence the notion of dominance.
6 F2 test slides (F1 x F1): We observe around 75% long wings, 25% vestigial wings.
Reflection: Distribution between homozygotes and heterozygotes of the 75% wild phenotype.
