Sauvage x Vestigial Ebony - case (8 blades)

Interchromosomal recombination Chr II and Chr III.
Studied mutations: vestigial wings and ebony body.

Presentation:
The fruit flies mounted on slides, arranged in an elegant storage box, include:
- 1 Parent slide: P1 wild-type homozygotes, P2 mutated homozygotes.
- 1 Direct F1 slide (P1 x P2): 100% long wings and light body.
- 6 F2 slides obtained in back cross: (F1 x mutated P2): 25% wild-type phenotype, 25% mutated phenotype, 25% long wings and ebony body, 25% vestigial wings and light body.

Objectives:
Observe under a binocular microscope a population of 300 individuals, sorted (but not counted!), develop models, study chromosome segregation, gene distribution. Based on these results, define the type of hereditary law to which the studied strain corresponds.
