Portable refractometer 30GS - METTLER TOLEDO

The Refracto is a portable and benchtop refractometer at the same time.
You can choose to place the instrument on a flat surface and add a quantity of sample into the measuring cell or directly immerse the cell in the sample.

Sapphire prism
The Refracto 30GS uses the total reflection method to determine the refractive index. Equipped with a sapphire prism held by a gold-plated brass ring, it offers a better refractive index and higher thermal conductivity than glass. Thus, it can perform more extensive measurements and record the sample temperature more quickly. The Refracto even accurately measures dark samples. You are no longer dependent on uncertain readings of dark/light transitions as with optical instruments.

Temperature compensation
The refractive index of a sample depends on the temperature. During a measurement, the Refracto 30GS determines the temperature and corrects the refractive index to bring it to a standard temperature of 20°C or the temperature set by the user. To quickly measure various types of samples, simply switch between the 10 user-defined correction coefficient profiles.

Clear interface
The backlit LCD screen of the Refracto displays your results and configuration clearly. The simple and intuitive menu allows you to modify the configuration in seconds. The user guide is almost unnecessary.

Easy to use
With its easy keys, it is simple to use and efficient. As soon as you press the measurement key, the results are displayed in the chosen unit on the backlit LCD screen.

Large memory capacity
The Refracto 30GS can store up to 1100 results, including sample identification, unit of measurement, temperature compensation coefficient, date, and time.

Transfer your data at any time
Thanks to the infrared (IR) interface, you can transfer the data (and the instrument identification) to a PC or printer whenever you want. You just need an infrared/RS232 converter. The appropriate PC software is included with the instrument.
