Yeast S. cerevisiae ADE 2 Mutagenesis Kit - 2 L of YPG medium ready to use

Experimental set for measuring the mutagenic power of ultraviolet rays on the genome of living cells. Presentation: This set is designed for 18 experiments. Each group of students has 5 Petri dishes to monitor the growth of Ade2 yeast. 4 dishes will be exposed to different and increasing levels of UV exposure, the 5th being the control. Results are visible after 5 days. Expected results: The action of UV on the DNA of S. cerevisiae Ade2 is observable at 2 levels: at the phenotype level (non-lethal mutations), the color of the colonies turning cream instead of red, and at the level of lethal mutations, quantifiable by monitoring the mortality rate of colonies compared to the control.
