Yeast S. cerevisiae ADE 2 Mutagenesis Kit - YPG powder medium (for 2L)

Experimental set to measure the mutagenic power of ultraviolet rays on the genome of living cells. **Presentation:** This set is designed for 18 experiments. Each group of students has 5 Petri dishes to monitor the growth of Ade2 yeast. 4 dishes will be exposed to different and increasing levels of UV exposure, the 5th being the control. Results are visible after 5 days. **Expected results:** The action of UV on the DNA of *S. cerevisiae* Ade2 is observable at 2 levels: at the phenotype level (non-lethal mutations), the color of the colonies turning back to cream instead of red, and at the level of lethal mutations, quantifiable by monitoring the mortality rate of colonies / control. **Ordering Information:** Order 2 weeks before the desired delivery date.
