Skull without mandible showing a large cranial volume (1300 cm3) and a very large brow ridge. Presenting both Neanderthal characteristics (wide face, sub-orbital torus) and Homo sapiens, the position of this group is still the subject of hypotheses. Discovered in Zambia (1921). Dating: between 200,000 and 300,000 years ago.
