Presentation

Experience
You place on the optical bench:
- a white light source equipped with a condenser
- the focal length measurement screen with its half object
- the converging lens whose focal length we wish to determine
- a plane mirror (it is possible to place the mirror and the lens together; the distance between the two does not affect the result).

You move the lens-plane mirror assembly until a clear image is obtained on the screen (equal and inverted to the object).

Result: the distance between the object and the lens corresponds to the focal length of the lens.
