TPU98A is a flexible and strong filament that belongs to the elastomer family. On the elastomer hardness scale, TPU 98A is similar to hard rubber. For example, it is slightly more rigid than a shopping cart wheel, allowing for the printing of parts that are both sturdy and flexible.
Due to its 98 shore A hardness, it is one of the easiest flexible filaments to print.
Its main qualities are:
- Flexibility and strength combined
- 98A shore hardness
- Up to 190% elongation
- Heat resistance up to 140°C
- Waterproofing and resistance to oil and grease splashes
ATTENTION: To print elastomers, we recommend using direct drive printers rather than Bowden systems (remote motor). With a Bowden system, make sure beforehand that the filament drive system of your machine is compatible with flexible filament feeding.
