The SS:5 series of microplate shakers is designed for mixing the contents of microplate and microcentrifuge tubes. The high speed combined with a small orbit diameter allows for vigorous mixing. This is necessary for mixing the contents of low-volume well plates and microcentrifuge tubes. The highly effective non-slip mat provided with the shaker securely holds up to four microplate.
The speed is variable from 250 to 1250 rpm and is easily adjustable in 10 rpm increments via the digital display. For maximum flexibility, the integrated digital timer can be set within a range of either 1 second to 90 minutes, 1 minute to 9 hours, or in minutes mode only, from 1 to 9999 minutes. The device can also be programmed for continuous operation.
For samples requiring temperature and/or humidity control, the compact size of the SSM5 is ideal for placement inside a CO2 incubator.
