The ChemiDoc XRS+ system is a gel imaging system based on high resolution and high sensitivity CCD detection technology. It features modular options to accommodate a wide range of samples and support multiple detection methods including fluorescence, colorimetry, densitometry, chemiluminescence, and chemiluminescence. The system is controlled by Image Lab software to optimize imager performance for fast, integrated, and automated image capture and analysis of diverse samples. The system accommodates a wide range of samples, from large hand-poured polyacrylamide gels to small ReadyAgarose gels and various blots. The system is an ideal accompaniment to PCR, purification and electrophoresis systems, enabling image analysis and documentation of restriction digests, amplified nucleic acids, DNA fingerprinting, RFLPs, as well as purification and protein characterization. The main advantages are: - Imaging and analysis of gels and blotters is fast and accurate. - Automated routines, without manual intervention; no training is required. - Record and recall all workflow steps for repeatable and reproducible results. - System optimization during setup for image data that is consistently accurate, reproducible, and free of imaging artifacts. - Wide range of applications with special accessories to preserve sample integrity for downstream research while ensuring user safety - Complete and automated quantitative analysis of protein and DNA samples in seconds. - Customize and organize data in reports - Get publication-quality results fast
