This infrared camera is a 100% educational thermal camera.

Developed around a high-quality bolometric sensor with a resolution of 160x120 at 9 fps, this educational thermal camera has all the tools to implement your educational scenario on infrared radiation, conductivity, and thermal transfers.

Its specifically developed housing adapts to a majority of round or square supports that you already have in your laboratories (chemistry stands, Modumontage) for easy adaptation to the object emitting the infrared radiation.

Its software allows, from the raw data provided by the bolometric sensor, to understand the step-by-step process of creating an infrared thermal image:
You have access to 3 tabs:
- Acquisition: the study can be done live or with a previously recorded video
You define a reference image to include the environment in the measurement field
Calibrate the bolometric sensor in 2 points with objects whose temperature is known
Set up the infrared image with smoothing options (noise attenuation)/deblurring (spatial smoothing of the image) and adjust the color palette (B&W, steel, water, rainbow) and adjust with sliders to obtain the desired palette
Read the Min and Max temperatures directly in the observation field
- Measurement: Choice and delimitation of points or measurement areas by the user with emissivity setting then start/stop acquisition
- Temperature profiles: plot of the temperature profile on a segment defined by the user to study thermal conduction in materials

You also have the export of the entire matrix in °C or °K, a 2D or 3D thermal profile in real time, and the possibility of using the camera in Python programming for acquisitions and processing.

Furthermore, the camera comes with an 8 mm Ø rod to attach it to optical supports.

Possible practical work:
- Step-by-step construction of an infrared thermal image
- Study of the basics of infrared thermography
- Newton's phenomenological law
- Measurement of temperatures of the hot and cold source of the Stirling engine
- Study of the thermal diffusivity of materials
