The Tertiary Sands Study Kit is part of a paleontologist's approach, based on the meticulous observation of 2 reconstituted Tertiary sands containing real fossils. Practical work that can be done: - Highlighting the biodiversity of an environment - A chronological approach to biodiversity and species evolution Format: 1 to 2 complete tests Experiment duration: 50 min Conservation duration: No constraint Storage condition: Room temperature
The kit consists of fossiliferous sands (reconstructed sand): - 1 bag of Eocene (Lutetian): sand with Nummulites, gastropod shells and lamellibranchs, bag of approximately 50-70 g - 1 bag of Miocene: falun sand including Bryozoans, Sponges, shark teeth, ray teeth, fish vertebrae, and bone fragments, bag of approximately 50-70 g
