Engine and generator model
This model will allow in particular:
- to calculate the efficiency of the installation based on the rotation speed.
- to plot the open-circuit voltage curve of a generator, based on the rotation speed.
- to plot the current/voltage characteristic of a generator on a variable load, at constant speed.
- to highlight the reversibility of a motor or a generator.
These manipulations are detailed in the accompanying instructions:
A first part, intended for the teacher, describes assembly diagrams, protocols, measurements, and results analysis.
In the second part, practical work sheets directly usable by the students are proposed to you.
