Principles and objectives:
The principle of the Mach-Zehnder interferometer is close to that of the Michelson but the paths of the two separated beams do not return on themselves.
This interferometer is also used in quantum mechanics experiments for its ability to highlight the wave or corpuscular aspect of the photon.
