ELISA kit 24 pairs
Objectives:
As part of the new senior year program, and to build solid knowledge on the specificity of immune complexes antibody-antigen, the ELISA kit is prominently featured among the possible activities to study the immune response or seropositivity (HIV seropositivity, the origin of AIDS).
Principle:
Each pair has their own strip, with 8 wells all coated with BSA (bovine serum albumin). They perform the assay of a rabbit anti-BSA antibody.
Through successive dilutions, students create a standard range and can also measure the antibody concentration of an unknown solution.
The higher the antibody concentration, the more intense the coloration obtained.
Format: 24 complete tests
Duration of the experiment: 1 session of 50 minutes
Storage duration: 6 months in the freezer or 2 weeks in the refrigerator
Storage conditions: +4°C (and -18°C for serum and antibodies)
The kit consists of:
- 24 strips of 8 wells "coated" with BSA (antigen)
- 2 strip holders
- 1 tube of rabbit serum immunized against BSA
- 1 tube of non-immunized rabbit serum
- 1 tube of secondary reactive antibodies coupled with an enzyme
- Tween solution
- 10x PBS dilution buffer
- 1 tube of enzyme substrate (TMB)
