Introduction:
The synthesis of nanoparticles by aqueous route was formulated in 1951 by J.Turkevich. A method that has been revisited and improved several times but is still used despite its age.
This synthesis allows obtaining gold nanoparticles between 15 and 150 nm with great simplicity and speed. Its principle is based on the reduction of tetrachloroauric acid by sodium citrate.
