In this context, it is important to have suitable testers to successfully carry out the very strict tests imposed by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) and CENELEC (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization).
IEC 60364 standard and its various national equivalents published in each European country (see Table 1) specify the requirements applicable to fixed electrical installations in buildings.
Section 6:2006 of this standard describes the requirements for verifying the compliance of an installation with IEC 60364.
