The catalytically active spherical activated carbon and an additional catalyst reliably remove oxidizing agents such as free chlorine, ozone, heavy metal ions, and particles from the system's feed water. Furthermore, the downstream reverse osmosis membrane can retain up to 98% of salts, as well as bacteria and particles.
