Bernard's complete calcimeter on base
Bernard's calcimeter allows for measuring the volume of CO2 released by the action of hydrochloric acid (HCl) on calcium carbonate (CaCO3) from a soil or rock sample.
Through this historical experiment, you will be able to determine the percentage of limestone present in a rock sample.
The Bernard's calcimeter consists of:
- Thermometer -10°C to +110°C
- Rectangular base with rod
- 2 x Rubber tubes diam. 5 x 8 mm
- 2 x Clamping nuts
- Rubber stopper
- 2 x V-shaped jaw clamps
- 100 ml Erlenmeyer flask
- Glass abductor tube diam. 7 mm
- 100 ml single-way burette
- Spherical separating funnel
- 5 ml hemolysis tube
- Stainless steel rod diam. 8 mm length 900 mm
- Stainless steel sieve mesh 1000µm diam. 84 mm
