Sauvage x Vestigial Black - F2 Back cross (24 drosophiles)

Intrachromosomal recombination on Chr III.
Studied mutations: vestigial wings and black body.

Inclusion of 24 fruit flies, in a box (ø 55 mm) with a removable lid, corresponding to the expected theoretical frequencies of an F2 backcross population (F1 x Mutant parents).

The counting is done by marking each of the flies spotted on the lid with an erasable marker. Grid and orderly positioning of the flies to facilitate identification.

10 wild-type flies with normal wings x light body (41.5%). 2 flies with vestigial wings x light body (8.5%). 2 flies with normal wings x dark body (8.5%). 10 flies with vestigial wings x dark body (41.5%).
