Scopio - Monocular LED Microscope

Scopio is an ideal microscope for introducing students to microscopy. It has all the elements of a more advanced microscope in a version dedicated to use in middle school: smaller size, lightweight yet robust, modern design. It is equipped with a 360° rotatable monocular head to allow the teacher to easily monitor what the student is observing. Equipped with achromatic objectives x4 / x10 / x40 and a wide field x10 eyepiece, it allows for observations with a magnification ranging from 40 to 400. An x25 eyepiece is also provided with the microscope. Its LED lighting offers user comfort as well as maintenance convenience. With its ultra-long lifespan, no more hassle of changing bulbs! A transmitted lighting in the form of a lamp that attaches via USB to the stand is also provided for better observation. It operates connected to the mains but also with a rechargeable battery (3 AA batteries). The mains power supply unit is equipped with a red LED to indicate whether the microscope is powered on or not, or if a microscope has been inadvertently left connected. The focus adjustment is done by a coaxial macro and micrometric screw as with all major microscopes. Using a microscope in biology is probably the first technical skill one learns and the most essential regardless of the field of biology being studied. It should therefore be taught at the beginning of learning Life and Earth Sciences. It is important to provide students with an advanced yet user-friendly tool.
