Radiometer
Compact and versatile, this radiometer equipped with a photodiode and 4 filters is a device for analyzing the luminous flux returned by an object. An object located under the radiometer illuminated by a source (sun, halogen source, etc.) reflects light whose spectrum is modified. After calibration, the device gives the reflectance of the material studied. Operable in autonomy thanks to its screen and its power supply or in ExAO thanks to its analog output, this radiometer makes it possible to find the spectral signature of different materials by using different wavelengths (filters). The greenhouse effect, a contemporary planetary issue, can thus be tackled by using light reflection as a diagnostic tool.
