Soil samples

This set offers 4 different types of soils to study rock/biosphere interactions. The objective is to demonstrate the diversity of soils and variations in behavior regarding water and biomass production.
Delivered in a partially dehydrated 750 mL packet.
1 - Marl (limestone bedrock)
2 - Granitic Sand soil (granite bedrock)
3 - Agricultural soil (limestone bedrock)
4 - Humic soil (forest)
Examples of activities that can be carried out with the proposed experimental setups:
- Measurement of porosity and permeability of different soils, water potential,
- pH measurement, solubility, classroom culture for biomass validation,
- Separation of mineral and organic fractions to compare with the mineralogical composition of the bedrock...
