The Foxy myograph sensor is specifically designed to perform any electromyography experiment (recording contractions on smooth or skeletal muscle) by ExAO, in vitro on isolated organ. Its digital Hall effect potentiometer allows very precise recordings of even minimal oscillations of the arm, generated by muscle contraction. It is thus possible to work with biological samples of very diverse natures. The arm is adjustable transversely in order to increase the lever arm effect and thus adapt the setup to obtain movements whose amplitude is optimized for recording. This device allows the myograph sensor to be used with a wide variety of muscles. (Frog heart, earthworm crop-gizzard, mussel byssal muscle, crayfish intestinal muscle, crab claw, etc.). Mobile counterweights, combined with the offset adjustment function, allow very fine adjustment of the baseline position regardless of the chosen lever arm length for the experiment. Its sturdy holding rod allows the myograph sensor to be attached to standard laboratory mounting devices, making it easily compatible with all experimental conditions. Fluid supply to the preparations is possible thanks to the provided catheter.
