The Tough Precision construction material is a thermoplastic designed for durable, resistant, and dimensionally stable 3D printed prototypes and assemblies. With impact resistance up to 2 times greater than ABS and similar properties in terms of tensile and flexural strength, this robust MakerBot material offers high durability and toughness.

Smart Spool™ provides valuable information, including material type, color, and remaining quantity via an RFID chip directly to MakerBot Print (MakerBot's drive/slicer), while a desiccant in the spool maintains a low level of moisture inside the drawer compartment.

Less warping than ABS, allowing for more reliable printing results.

Tensile, impact, and flexural strength similar to that of ABS.
