This free fall study device is equipped with a manual trigger, adjustable in height.
A simple system allows the ball to be launched.
Connecting the 2 trigger cords to a synchronization input allows the acquisition to start precisely at the beginning of the fall. An LR06 battery allows perfect reproducibility of the synchronization regardless of the acquisition console used.
The shock detector, which requires no power supply, delivers a signal when the ball hits it and thus easily determines the fall time.
By using the chronocounter ref. 351058, you obtain a simple and accurate measurement of the fall time.

For a more in-depth analysis, it is possible to position forks on the trajectory of the ball, fixed on the rod provided in standard format 15×15 mm. In this configuration, the chrono-cine forks ref. 453026 associated with the mechanical module of the Scientific Workshop software allow obtaining the position of the ball and its speed, and thus finding the value of g.
