Principles and objectives:

The objective here is to measure the air flow velocities (v in m/s) and aerodynamic forces to determine the aerodynamic coefficient (F in N) according to the following relationship:

With ρ: the air density, S: the torque of each piece.

The model, composed of a screen and outlet sockets, allows for various pedagogical approaches: either by reading on the display, or by Ex.A.O. Please note that the force values provided by the model are in mN.


Comments:

Using the aerodynamics model, it is possible to highlight the influence of a shape profile on the aerodynamic force exerted by the adjustable incident air flow.

The student will study the different provided profiles and, if necessary, will be able to manufacture their own profile with shapes to be sculpted independently ordered separately.
