Topics covered:

- Osmosis

- Osmotic pressure

- Concentration

Principles and objectives:
In this seven-chamber structure, the dependence of osmotic pressure on the concentration of the solution used can be clearly demonstrated. The second, fourth, and sixth chambers are respectively filled with sugar solutions at 5%, 10%, and 15%, while the other segments are filled with water. A cellophane film is stretched between the different segments as a semi-permeable membrane. The dependence of the osmotic process on the concentrations used can be easily determined by changes in the liquid columns of the capillaries.
The two main experimental objectives are:
- to study osmotic processes using a simple model.
- to determine the dependence of osmotic pressure on the concentration of dissolved molecules.

Comments:
Quantitative determination of various osmosis processes. Several measurement points allow for detailed analysis. Scalable tests: the number of measurement points can be adjusted as desired.
