Topics covered:
- law of gravity
- ballistics
- parabolic trajectory
- uniform acceleration
Principles and objectives:
Understanding the general movement of projectiles is very important for fields such as ballistics.
Furthermore, this understanding helps to better comprehend the laws of gravity.
A steel ball is shot by a spring at different speeds and angles relative to the horizontal. The relationships between range, projection height, angle of inclination, and shooting speed are determined.
The objective of this experiment is to understand the general laws of projectile motion.
1. Determine the range based on the angle of inclination.
2. Determine the maximum projection height based on the angle of inclination.
3. Determine the (maximum) range based on the initial velocity.
