Mole concepts
The representation of the mole remains an abstract and complicated concept for students. However, it is an essential tool for calculating the quantity of matter in chemistry. The activities achievable with this set composed of 5 equimolar samples of different substances allow students to: - review the sizes of a neutron, a proton, and an electron, - calculate Avogadro's number, - understand why an atom has a specific molar mass. By handling these 5 objects, students visualize and weigh 1 mole of metal and learn to master the concept of molar mass.
