Connected sound speed model
Using this model, the student is autonomous, varying the distance between the speaker and the microphone, reading the real-time sound wave travel time.
The sound is only emitted when the "sound emission" button is pressed, allowing the different poles to work without constraints.
This connected version is tablet-compatible for a motivating TP environment adapted to digital use.
The application provided with the connected model stores distances based on time in a spreadsheet.
The student verifies that the ratio "d/t" is constant and equal to the theoretical speed of sound. They reapply the link between speed, distance, and duration.
The model's Wi-Fi, combined with the tablet-compatible application, eliminates the need for note-taking. The student focuses on their experimental results. In Cycle 4, in conjunction with mathematics, the student will be able to understand and use the concept of a function. They will make the connection between linear function and proportionality, concluding on the value of the speed of sound.
Up to 4 tablets can access the measurements taken by one model.
