- Magnetic field

- Helmholtz coils

- Uniform field

Principles and objectives:

The purpose of this lab is to study the behavior of the magnetic field circulating in the coils, and thus determine

the specific arrangement to achieve a uniform field.

Place a teslameter sensor on its support with the probe at an equal distance between the 2 Helmholtz coils.

Turn on the power supply.

Set the intensity to the minimum.

Take magnetic field measurements every 0.5A.

Model the curve as a straight line to obtain its equation. Right-click, select "Line"

Left-click on the first point, hold down, move to the last point, and press Enter: the

line becomes fixed.

The relationship between magnetic field and current intensity:

B = 740 x y0 x i

With u0 = 4 x pi x e-7 SI.

Calculate "740 x y0"

Compare this result with the slope of the line.
